Palm Springs
We are home from our fun-filled weekend to visit my mom! We had a great time. We had great weather and it was really fun to spend some time with her. Travis played a ton of golf. He played at a really nice resort on Friday. There are two different courses at this resort and he played both of them (36 holes). On Saturday he played at another resort and when he was done with the first 18, he decided to play it again! That is 72 holes in 2 days! What a diehard! Skylar got a little bit of one-on-one time with her Grandma Joni, once on Friday night while Travis and I went out to dinner and did a little shopping, and for a lot of the day on Sunday while Travis and I went golfing (another 18 in for Trav, I just rode along). That was really nice to have some time to ourselves! I think my mom really enjoyed having her all to herself for a little while. It sure did make her remember how much work it is to have a crawler around. Skylar is sooooo busy! She did pretty good on the plane. She liked to look at all of the people around us. She would get their attention and wave to them and talk to them. She is the center of attention wherever we go! We had a really fun trip but I think we will wait a while before we fly anywhere with her again...it is really exausting!

On Vacation!
Well, we are here in sunny Palm Springs, California! It is really nice here. It was snowing when we left SLC yesterday and it is 95 degrees here today! What a difference an hour and a half plane ride makes! We are having fun shopping and hanging out by the pool. Travis golfed 36 holes today, he loves it. I will post some pix when we get home!

Crazy week!
This week was very busy! Travis was out of town all week for work. He went to a place called Show Low, Arizona. It was about a 13 hour drive. I worked Monday, Wednesday, Friday and also a few hours on Saturday morning. Travis got home late on Friday night and early Saturday got up to play in a softball tourny at 4th Street park. He had to take Skylar with him to the park. She just got to hang out in the dugout with all the guys for the first game until I got there! I guess that is something that she will have to get used to! It was really warm but incredibly windy! I felt like we were at the sand dunes with all the dirt from the infields being blown around! Anyway, the guys ended up taking second place in the tournament which was awesome! They played 5 games to get to the champoinship and all of the players were so sore and tired by the end of the night! This is the second weekend in a row that the Ribbies (team name) have placed second in a tournament. Way to go!

Thanks for voting!
So the results are in...it looks like Sydney is the winner (of the poll, at least). We still haven't decided what to name our new baby but it is nice to know a few other people's opinions. We really need to get crackin' on getting ready for this little girl! By this time in my pregnancy with Skylar, we already had her room set up with brand new furniture, bedding, new paint, etc. This poor baby doesn't even have her room cleared of boxes from moving in this new house! Oh well, I guess I am a little more busy with a 10 month old crawling around and getting into everything! I guess we will get it all together in time (barely)!

Skylar's first sleepover!
This weekend Skylar had her first sleepover. She spent the night at my Dad and Mal's on Friday night. She did really well but I kind of had a hard time. I had to leave really early on Saturday morning to judge a dance competition in Salt Lake and Travis was out of town so we decided it would be easier for everyone if she stayed the night somewhere. She slept through the night pretty much and everyone at my dad's had lots of fun with her there, as usual! I didn't get home until after her bedtime on Saturday so I couldn't wait to see her on Sunday morning. I missed her so much! She got to spend Saturday afternoon alone with her dad which they both enjoyed. Later that evening, all of Trav's family came over to watch North Carolina get thier butts kicked by Kansas. I am kind of glad that I wasn't here to have to witness the agony of defeat! Oh well, maybe next year!
